Lilly Workneh is an award-winning journalist and digital media strategist. She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Blavity News, the leading national news platform for Black millennials.  She is also the founder of Abeba Media, a consulting company that provides media strategy and solutions for mission-driven platforms and people. Previously, Lilly led HuffPost Black Voices where she extensively reported on the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. She also served as the Lifestyle News Editor at TheGrio. Lilly is a 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and has been recognized for her leadership and advocacy for diversity and inclusion in media. Throughout her career, Lilly has interviewed influential names including Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Ava DuVernay, and more. She is passionate about storytelling and the power it has to expand our collective imagination and impact.
